Job Purpose

The Door Person is the first and last impression of Rockliffe, creating memorable arrival and departure experiences for guests, members, visitors, and VIPs alike. As a key ambassador of the resort, this role combines exceptional hospitality, impeccable presentation, and professional service to ensure every guest receives a warm, personalised welcome from the moment they arrive.

Working closely with Concierge, Front Office, Guest Relations, and wider operational teams, the Door Person plays an important role in maintaining the resort's luxury standards, anticipating guest needs, and creating a seamless experience that reflects the warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail for which Rockliffe is renowned.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a warm, professional, and personalised welcome to all guests, members, visitors, and VIPs upon arrival and departure
  • Provide assistance with luggage, directions, mobility needs, and general guest enquiries, ensuring a seamless and attentive experience
  • Anticipate guest needs through proactive engagement, offering thoughtful and personalised support throughout their visit
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the resort's facilities, dining venues, spa experiences, golf facilities, events, and local attractions
  • Recognise VIPs, returning guests, and special occasions, ensuring personalised service is delivered at every opportunity
  • Maintain a visible and welcoming presence at the resort entrance, creating exceptional first and last impressions
  • Coordinate guest arrivals and departures efficiently, working closely with Concierge, Reception, and Guest Relations teams
  • Support valet and transportation services where required, ensuring vehicles and guest belongings are handled with the utmost care
  • Ensure entrance areas, driveways, and surrounding public spaces remain immaculate, organised, and welcoming at all times
  • Promote resort facilities and experiences through professional recommendations that enhance the guest journey
  • Maintain awareness of guest safety and security, reporting hazards, incidents, or concerns promptly and supporting emergency procedures when required
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, personal presentation, and luxury service excellence at all times
