Reports To: Head Concierge & Front of House Manager (or Night Manager)
Job Purpose
The Hotel Porter plays a key role in creating exceptional first and last impressions for guests visiting Rockliffe. As a visible ambassador of the resort, you will deliver warm, professional, and personalised service throughout the guest journey, ensuring every arrival, departure, and interaction reflects the high standards of luxury hospitality for which the resort is renowned.
Working closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and wider operational teams, this hands-on role combines guest service, valet parking, and resort knowledge to create seamless and memorable experiences. The Hotel Porter will anticipate guest needs, provide confident assistance, and contribute to the welcoming atmosphere that defines the Rockliffe experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a warm and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience
- Assist guests with luggage, room orientation, and resort information, providing a personalised and attentive service
- Provide valet parking services, ensuring vehicles are handled safely, efficiently, and with the utmost care
- Escort guests to their rooms, introducing resort facilities and ensuring expectations are exceeded from arrival
- Support the smooth operation of the resort during daytime or overnight shifts, responding promptly to guest requests and operational requirements
- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, reporting incidents, hazards, or concerns in line with resort procedures
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the resort, local attractions, and services to provide tailored recommendations
- Work closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience
- Support VIP arrivals and departures, delivering discreet and personalised service
- Handle guest enquiries and concerns professionally, resolving issues where possible or escalating appropriately
- Assist with transportation arrangements and concierge requests when required
- Support resort events and functions, helping to guide guests and assist with operational requirements
- Maintain high standards of presentation across guest-facing areas, including entrances and lobby spaces
- Anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful, proactive service that enhances the overall guest experience
