Glencorse Care Home is a purpose built care home located in Penicuik, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 54 residents. With a strong focus on teamwork and high standards of care, the home offers a supportive environment where staff can develop their skills and make a meaningful difference every day.

- £12.71 per hour
- Full time or part time contracts available
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- Onsite parking
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview
As a Housekeeping Assistant, this role plays an important part in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues. Cleanliness and hygiene are essential to supporting residents’ wellbeing and creating a comfortable place to live.
The role involves carrying out a range of domestic duties across the home, including cleaning bedrooms, communal areas and sanitary facilities to a high standard. Attention to detail is key, ensuring all areas remain hygienic, well maintained and presentable.
Working alongside the wider team, the role also supports laundry processes when required, helping to ensure items are handled safely and correctly. The role contributes to creating a positive environment where residents feel settled, comfortable and at home.

- Previous housekeeping or domestic experience is beneficial but not essential
