Aspen Court Nursing & Dementia Nursing Home is a modern, purpose-built home located in the peaceful northern outskirts of Taunton. We provide high-quality Dementia and Nursing care for up to 42 residents in a comfortable, supportive and compassionate environment.
We are now looking for dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join our caring team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for person-centred care to make a meaningful difference every day.
What We Offer
- £13.00 – £13.21 per hour
- Full-time and part-time contracts available
- 11.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid break
- Weekend work required on a rotational basis
- Additional £2.00 per hour for overtime
- Pension scheme, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
Your Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will take the lead in supporting your team to deliver the highest standards of care. You will assist residents with daily routines, promote dignity and independence, and ensure that care plans are always followed and kept up to date. You will oversee medication administration, maintain accurate documentation, and support communication between residents, families and healthcare professionals.
By leading with empathy and professionalism, you will help create a warm, safe and positive environment where residents feel valued and supported.
What We Are Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is essential (Level 3 desirable)
- Practical medication administration training with current competencies
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a care team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A kind, compassionate and professional approach
- Commitment to delivering person-centred care with empathy and respect
