Head Housekeeper

Harrier Grange Care Home, located in the heart of Hampshire, provides high-quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite care for up to 66 residents. Our aim is to create a warm, supportive, and welcoming environment where residents feel truly at home.

We are now looking for a dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort are maintained throughout the home. In this vital role, you will combine excellent organisational skills with strong leadership, helping to create a safe, well-maintained, and inviting space for our residents.

• 40 hours per week, contracted

Key Responsibilities
As Head Housekeeper, you will oversee all housekeeping operations within the home. You will supervise, train, and support your team to deliver excellent standards of cleanliness, ensuring all resident rooms, communal areas, and facilities are cared for with pride. You will manage daily schedules, delegate tasks, and carry out quality checks to ensure high standards are consistently achieved.

Your responsibilities will also include maintaining stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing budgets efficiently. You will act as the key link between the housekeeping department and other teams, ensuring smooth communication and effective collaboration. With a proactive and hands-on approach, you will address any issues quickly and professionally while always prioritising the wellbeing and comfort of our residents.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or managerial role
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to high standards
• Ability to train, motivate, and support team members
• A proactive, positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Awareness of health, safety, and infection control practices
