Head Housekeeper | La Fontana Care Home in Martock, Somerset | Salary: £13.50 per hour | Hours: 37.5 per week

La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home is a purpose-built, innovative care home nestled in the beautiful Somerset countryside. We provide specialist Dementia and Nursing care for up to 76 residents, and we’re looking for a proactive, inspiring Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our residents.

This isn’t just a cleaning role it’s an opportunity to lead a team, shape operations, and create a welcoming, safe environment that residents are proud to call home.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and inspire the housekeeping team, setting high standards and fostering a positive, motivated culture.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate staff, helping them develop skills and achieve their potential.
• Plan and delegate daily cleaning, laundry, and housekeeping operations efficiently.
• Ensure quality and consistency, inspecting rooms and communal areas regularly.
• Manage budgets and supplies, keeping operations cost-effective while maintaining excellence.
• Collaborate across departments, ensuring seamless communication and problem-solving.
• Promote safety and sanitation, ensuring a secure, hygienic environment for residents and staff.
• Resolve concerns professionally, responding promptly to resident or staff feedback.

• £13.50 per hour + additional £2 per hour overtime
