We are looking for a Meetings & Events Sales Coordinator to support the Meeting & Events team with efficiently dealing with enquiries, planning and guest room bookings to ensure maximum yield and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilites
- To process & manage M&E group reservations to ensure maximum occupancy and accuracy ensuring that all possible information is recorded, i.e. check in date,
- Taking and processing of internal meeting room requests in Opera
- Prepare and distribute weekly Meeting & Events reports, including data analysis
- Provide administrative support to the team and M&E Sales and Planning Manager
- To manage the process of all Accor and Arora International associated membership card schemes
- To accurately file all information regarding advance reservations and past bookings
- When requested to send a confirmation to advance reservations
- To ensure ultimate accuracy of information on a reservation, e.g. rate, account instructions, origin codes, country codes, etc
- Ensure all guest and colleague queries or requests are handled in a polite, efficient and courteous manner
- Ensure a high level of liaison is maintained between all other hotel departments as necessary
- Assist with site visits, menu tastings & pre and post con meetings
- Directly answer all incoming meetings and events, and group opportunities & meet walk-in potential customers for small to medium bookings
- Ensure exemplary levels of guest service are consistently maintained
- To ensure a high level of product knowledge of meeting and events, Hotel and the local area
- To maintain impeccable standards of appearance and grooming, wearing the company uniform and badges at all times.

- You are flexible to work early shifts, late shifts and weekends
- You are comfortable to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment
- Confident sales skills; ability to negotiate; strong problem-solving skills, and ability to seek solutions.
- Previous experience of working within a luxurious hospitality market is desrired but not essential
