The Welcome Hut and Gardens team are Beaverbrooks first impression to the 400 acre estate. As soon as you arrive at the gates you will be welcomed by our team and directed to your location. The Gardening team are responsible for maintaining our gardens throughout the seasons and ensures the estate retains its natural beauty.

The Role

The gardens at Beaverbrook are made up of a number of different areas consisting of an Italianate garden, two wildflower meadows, orchard, a kitchen and cutting garden as well as formal and informal planting areas.

The gardens team also manage the extensive woodlands around the estate as well as maintenance of all the formal Box and Yew hedges. The role will consist of all aspects of maintenance associated with the day to day care of the above.

The Person

Applicants must have the ability to work alongside others in a private estate setting. Ideally applicants should:

Have some general Gardening experience.
Be able to get to and from The Estate in Leatherhead.
Be enthusiastic about plants and gardening & looking to expand your horticultural knowledge & skills.
Be equally happy working alone or as part of a team.
The role will involve interaction with other employees, members & guests so you will ideally be outgoing & friendly. The garden year is a varied one, you will need a flexible approach to your work & be happy to engage with a diverse range of challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and passionate gardener wishing to pursue a career in horticulture.
