Senior Hall Porter (Concierge Team)

To ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome and are well looked after throughout their stay. To provide additional services throughout the guest stay ensuring that all requests are fulfilled in a timely manner and to the highest levels of satisfaction for our guests. The Senior Porter should direct and lead the team on a daily basis, assist in training and development of the team and deal with any issues that arise and resolve guest complaints.

Overview of the role.

Provide a smooth and professional arrival experience for all guests.
Assist guests with luggage and offer storage whenever needed.
Assist reception in rooming guests whenever necessary and provide a 5* rooming experience.
Be knowledgeable and ensure all the team are knowledgeable about the hotel services, opening times and facilities available and try to upsell wherever possible.
Assist guests with concierge services including, but not limited to, booking taxis and chauffeur cars, clay pigeon shooting, booking restaurants, booking activities, providing directions, and having good local knowledge.
Ensure all outside areas are well presented at all times and ensure outside furniture, ashtrays and floors are clean and well maintained.
Provide an efficient and enjoyable transport experience for our guests and ensure our vehicles are clean and well maintained.
Provide a professional departure experience and a fond farewell to leave a great memory of the guests experience at the hotel.
Assist in the training and development of the Porters team.
Managing the team in the absence of the Assistant Front of House Manager or Rooms Division Manager

Who we are looking for

Previous experience of working within a Concierge team
Excellent customer service skills
Able to communicate effectively at all levels
Ability to manage the team and prioritise tasks
Full driving licence required

Working hours
Full time, 40 hours per week (shifts)

Weekend and bank holiday working required
