We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team.

As a Sales Manager you will assist in creating a strategic sales & marketing plan with a focus on room hire, food & beverage and associated bedroom targets. As a Sales Manager at our luxury hotel, you will ensure there is a 'sales culture' amongst the team by planting monthly targets. You will enjoy negotiating and successfully closing contracts with new clients, networking, client entertaining, hosting FAM trips and representing Luton Hoo Hotel in the local, national and international markets.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Sales Manager achieved within a European market, with a good understanding of hotel business mix needs of transient and MICE business
  • Ability to analyse budgets, production reports and client needs
  • Creativity, innovation, passion and adaptability
  • Experience in managing a client portfolio and hunt for new business
  • Passion for building relationships with extranet providers and animate relationships in order to maximise productivity
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills and negotiation skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) are essential
  • A clean driving license
  • Experience of Delphi and knowledge of reservations systems (Opera/OnQ) would be desirable but training will be provided
  • Have proven experience of managing a team and the ability to train, develop and motivate people to achieve targets
