Finance Project Accountant

12-month contract

The Role:

  • Manage and oversee project accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial forecasts.
  • Collaborate with wider finance team and other stakeholders to ensure financial compliance and project success.
  • Develop financial systems along with IT support, to make processes more user friendly.
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Support in post-completion reviews, leading on lessons learnt.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

What you'll have:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Project Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience of Netsuite, experience of Shopify is a bonus but not essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
