Job Description

As a Food Runner, Commis Waiter/Waitress, Waiter/Waitress Assistant at Din Tai Fung UK, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and creating and unforgettable dining experience for our guests. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to our guests, ensuring every dish is served at the right temperature and presented beautifully, maintaining our high standards
• Support the Front of House team, to ensure that the dining experience is seamless and efficient, acting as a crucial link between the kitchen and the guests
• Maintain a clean and organised dining area, assisting with resetting tables and other duties, ensuring the restaurant is always ready for the next guest

 

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Food Runner, Commis Waiter/Waitress, Waiter/Waitress Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. Ideally, you will have:

• A friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding guest experiences
• The ability to stay calm, composed, and adaptable under pressure, while maintaining efficient service and ensuring smooth operations in a busy and high-energy setting
• A keen interest in building a career in hospitality, with a strong passion for learning and developing your skills
• Flexible availability to work full time, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with shifts that may run as late 11:30 PM

What We Offer

• Competitive Pay: Hourly rates start at £14 (including troncs), rising to £15~£16 once qualified
• Working Week: 5 days per week on a rota basis throughout Monday to Sunday; night shifts may run as late as 11:30 PM
• Contracted Hours: Full time for 40~48 hours per week
• Location: Hiring for Central London (Covent Garden, Centre Point, Selfridges and Canary Wharf)
