Our Support Office a modern office located close to Old Street and Barbican in central London. This friendly open plan office houses several of the key support functions including Sales, Human Resources, Marketing and Central Revenue. Conveniently located with great transport links the office is the London base for the back office functions of Guoman and Thistle.
We are looking for an experienced Digital Executive to join our established yet still fast-growing hospitality business.
Sitting within the glh central Marketing & Brand team, the Digital Executive will support and assist with the execution of digital marketing, digital analytics and digital product activity for all the glh brands (glhhotels.com, amba-hotels.com, guoman.com, thistle.com, every-hotels.com and https://www.hardrockhotels.com/london).
Primary Role & Responsibilities
General: Working with the Head of Digital Marketing and the Digital Manager to execute all digital activities in order to meet the digital team targets.
Internal stakeholder management - being a key contact for hotels to discuss website updates and digital marketing improvements.
Managing all team finances and invoice processing. Managing any digital team events e.g. masterclasses, workshops, training.
Managing any ad-hoc digital projects that arise.
Working with the Digital Manager to evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data.
Being a digital champion.
Keeping up-to-date with digital industry developments and communicating this to the wider team.
Digital product Manage day-to-day development tasks with the website development agency.
Working with the Digital Manager on plans to improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the brand websites.
Updating the website with any digital marketing changes to the CMS.
Generate ideas to improve the website and implement these improvements using the CMS and/or the website development agency.
Digital marketing Working with the Digital Manager and the digital marketing agency to deliver PPC, SEO, paid social, display advertising and affiliate marketing activities against digital targets.
Manage the agency to deliver the affiliate marketing activities in line with targets. Managing the agency to deliver any hotel ad-hoc campaigns for food and beverages (restaurant/bar promotions)
Operational support for digital advertising assets.
Liaising with designers to create new banners and signing them off.
Signing off PPC ad copy and advertising to make sure it is high quality, communicating glh product USPs and consistent with our brand guidelines.
Validating PPC keyword lists Signing off SEO meta copy, descriptions, landing page quality to ensure content is high quality, communicating hotel USPs and targeting the right keywords.
Writing blog posts for SEO traffic generation. Working with the website development agency to implement any technical SEO changes.
Managing special offers for hotels on TripAdvisor.
Reviewing advertising performance and directing the agency to optimise results.
Digital analytics Helping the Digital Manager to delivering a monthly digital report for key stakeholders at glh.
Monitor daily digital performance in Google Analytics and agency reporting tools to spot any issues and opportunities for improvement.
What we look for
1-2 years digital experience Experience in either digital website management OR digital marketing essential. Both is a plus.
Google Analytics knowledge preferable
Excellent attention to detail - this role involves signing off a lot of agency work which requires a strong attention to detail and ability to quality control.
Excellent communication skills
Proactive - able to see and seize opportunities.
Strong understanding of current digital marketing concepts and best practice.
