Our Support Office a modern office located close to Old Street and Barbican in central London. This friendly open plan office houses several of the key support functions including Sales, Human Resources, Marketing and Central Revenue. Conveniently located with great transport links the office is the London base for the back office functions of Guoman and Thistle.
We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to join our established yet still fast-growing hospitality business.
Sitting within the glh central Marketing & Brand team, the Digital Manager will play a crucial role in the management and delivery of digital marketing activities, digital analytics and digital product activity for all the glh brands (glhhotels.com, amba-hotels.com, guoman.com, thistle.com, and https://www.hardrockhotels.com/london).
As Digital Marketing Manager your key responsibilities will be;
Working with the Head of Digital Marketing to help develop the digital strategy and 3-year digital plan.
Internal stakeholder management - you will meet regularly with hotel marketing leads to ensure hotel digital needs are being met.
Agency management - day-to-day management of the digital marketing agency and website development agency. This involves weekly progress calls, monitoring performance and ensuring the agencies are working seamlessly to deliver digital outputs.
Being an ambassador for our various brands’ positionings, as well as a digital ambassador.
You will champion all things digital, be on top of the latest digital trends, and help motivate and educate the hotels on digital. Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data.
Managment of website development projects with the website development agency. Looking at strategies to improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the brand websites.
Looking at ideas to optimise website conversion from conception to briefing designers/content writers to working with the development agency on implementation, to post implementation analysis.
Managing the digital marketing executive to make updates to the website using the CMS.
Managing the digital marketing agency to deliver PPC, SEO, paid social, display advertising and affiliate marketing activities against digital targets. Working with the agency on new strategies to expand glh’s digital activities
Working with the digital marketing agency to develop and run successful digital marketing campaigns for BAU activities to drive website bookings. Managing the digital marketing agency to produce monthly and quarterly forecasts of media spend.
Ensuring agency to spend against signed-off budgets. Managing campaign activity - working with both the central marketing team stakeholders and the digital marketing agency to plan media spend for sale and engagement campaigns, working with the creative agency to ensure the right assets are created for digital advertising, reviewing advertising performance and directing the agency to optimise results.
Working with the agency on SEO content campaigns and managing agency outreach campaigns.
Delivering a monthly digital report for key stakeholders at glh.
Undertake bespoke analysis using Google Analytics data to look at key insights for digital activity and to identify key opportunities to grow sales.
Communicating digital marketing performance to hotels.
What we look for
What we look for:
4+ years digital experience Experience in either digital website management OR digital marketing (PPC, SEO, digital campaign) essential.
Both is a plus.
Good use of Google Analytics (or equivalent).
Good Excel experience.
Creative - able to come up with ideas on driving forward the glh digital proposition.
Excellent attention to detail - this role involves signing off a lot of agency work which requires a strong attention to detail and ability to quality control.
Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills - good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
Strong understanding of current digital marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
