Fabulously located right on the quayside, Thistle Poole is a haven with stunning sear views across the harbour. The small, close knit team offer friendly easy-going service in this intimate hotel with 70 bedrooms and two meeting rooms.

The Role

We believe in stretching performance by working together as one team. Can you take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a busy kitchen to ensure that all elements of the food and beverage operation are delivered to a consistently high standard? Can you support the Head Chef with cost and portion control, ordering, team training and development and deal with guest and supplier issues where necessary?

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for the Kitchen team. You will be expected to deputise for the Head of Department and to show the leadership potential to fill that role in due course.

 

Salary on offer (£23,000.00 - £25,000.00)

Resilient - with the ability to work in a fast - paced environment and adapt to changing business demands. Passionate about food, with an eye for culinary detail and skill in food preparation. Knowledgeable in current local food trends. Capable of maintaining a consistently high level of food presentation Proficient in the use of IT.
