Our Support Office a modern office located close to Old Street and Barbican in central London. This friendly open plan office houses several of the key support functions including Sales, Human Resources, Marketing and Central Revenue. Conveniently located with great transport links the office is the London base for the back office functions of Guoman and Thistle.

The Role

As a Product Manager you will own the roadmap and delivery of new initiatives in GLH. Based in London, you will be a key member of the technology team, working closely with the senior stakeholders to develop an innovation roadmap and deliver projects to prove concepts that can drive our business forward. You will stay up to date with technology advancements and feedback to the exec periodically.



  • Owning the innovation product portfolio on behalf of the company, and defining the roadmap accordingly
  • Owning the initial project investigation to understand the impact, costs, benefits and options for any proposed innovation
  • When approved to proceed then fully manage the proof of concept to assess the viability of further rollout
  • Ensure that support is provisioned for all proof of concepts outside of the standard service model to not impact BAU activities
  • Provide complete handover and support to the project delivery team when an initiative moves from proof of concept to full rollout
  • Responsibility for the assigned innovation budget and ensure it is spent in accordance with approvals and regularly reported on
  • Responsibility for creating strong supplier relationships to keep up to date with the market and create the opportunity to test innovative ideas at a sensible cost
  • Responsibility for building relationships with other hotels to understand their approach to innovation and successes or learnings
  • Provide feedback into other projects to support a move away from manual processes and ensure strong system integration and seamless processes
  • Responsibility for ensuring all ideas are run through the necessary security scrutiny to avoid any unnecessary risk to the business or our guests
  • Willingness to step in and assist on other projects or work should the need arise, demonstrating a true team player attitude

  • Experience of delivering IT projects
  • Experience in the hospitality industry (desirable)
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to present a compelling story and justify your approach coherently
  • Act as a role model to others in the project team
  • Ability to adjust your approach based on the audience and keeping things as simple as possible
  • You love to understand how things work and challenge the elements that don’t make sense to you
  • Ability to set clear expectations and drive great results


  • Ability to complete degree level qualification
  • A project or product management certification (desirable)
