Bartender - Madeleine
Madeleine isn’t your average hotel bar. Awarded Birmingham’s Best Hotel Bar in 2025, it’s a slice of Parisian chic right in the city centre — where the lights are low, the martinis are cold, and every drink feels like an occasion.
We’re looking for a bartender who knows their negronis from their Old Fashioned’s and enjoys creating drinks that make people linger a little longer.
This role involves working 32 hours over 4 days with flexible shift patterns available.
If you’ve got a natural warmth about you, love working with premium ingredients, and can hold your own in a busy service, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous bar experience — ideally in high-end or high-volume venues.
- Genuine love for great drinks and great service.
- The confidence to chat, charm, and make connections with guests.
- A flexible approach to shifts — evenings, weekends, and the occasional weekday twist.
What you’ll be doing:
- Shaking, stirring, and serving classic and signature cocktails (and the occasional bespoke request from a regular).
- Bringing personality to the bar — the kind that makes guests feel at home, even if they’re miles from it.
- Knowing our menus inside out so you can make spot-on recommendations.
- Keeping service slick, consistent, and full of those small touches that make people come back.
If you like the sound of all that, apply today and let’s see what you can bring to Madeleine at The Grand Hotel Birmingham
