We are looking for a skilled and organised Commis Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all food is cooked and prepared to the agreed standards
  • To co-operate with all staff and management to provide a smooth and efficient service
  • To maintain the highest degree of hygiene and food safety
  • To understand and follow wastage and portion control
  • To assist other chefs in their work if the workload permits
  • To ensure all food items are stored correctly and stock rotated in line with the food hygiene regulations
  • To ensure the highest standard of cleanliness, maintenance and safety in the kitchen at all times
  • Food allergen compliance — ensure own personal training is up to date and full understanding of food allergen legislation
  • To report any safety hazards to the Sous or Head Chef
  • To carry out and record temperature and delivery checks
