Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the smooth operation of our luxury hotel’s housekeeping department.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes real pride in standards, presentation and guest experience, and who enjoys motivating and developing a close-knit team.

About the Role

As Assistant Head Housekeeper, you will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved throughout the property. You will help lead and inspire the housekeeping team while maintaining the impeccable standards expected in a luxury environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in the day-to-day management of the housekeeping department
  • Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to maintain exceptional standards
  • Conduct regular room and public area inspections to ensure quality and consistency
  • Manage staff rotas, productivity, and departmental scheduling
  • Monitor stock levels, ordering, and inventory control of linens and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and hotel policies
  • Handle guest requests and resolve concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of team members

  • Previous experience in an assistant or supervisory housekeeping role within a luxury hotel environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high personal standards
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive, professional manner
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Flexibility to work weekends and shifts as required
