THE ROLE
The Visual Merchandising Manager will be responsible for managing the John Varvatos brand aesthetic and creating a memorable customer shopping experience for the DTC channels. Executes merchandising strategies by creating and maintaining visual displays in store windows and on the sales floor. Contributes to the profitability of the stores/shops with merchandising strategies, replenishment, and inventory control efforts. Supports the production and creation of visual assets that will be shared companywide.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive relationship and a clear line of communication with General Managers and store teams in the region
- Oversee and ensure the proper execution of visual and creative displays including in-store presentations and window presentations, including direct participation taking a ‘hands-on’ approach
- Support store management by providing regular training on visual merchandising and information about upcoming projects, displays and/or product pushes
- Regularly conduct store visits within the region and conduct walk-throughs with members of store management to create action plans
- Partner with General Managers to plan floor-sets, execute visual merchandising and window displays, review photos and provide feedback
- Review and apply all visual merchandising and related creative services materials
- Partner with Retail Marketing for store related events and activities
- Maintain In-Store Fixture and Fittings Package
- Support the creation and development of Visual Materials that will be distributed company-wide
Position Requirements:
- Strong work ethic and time management skills
- Position requires traversing ladders, lifting heavy objects and observing store presentations
- Strong communication (written & verbal) and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
- Google Suite knowledge preferred
- Resourceful, hands-on, and displays a sense urgency
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Able to manage own priorities and set own work objectives and proactively identify business issues and develop creative solutions
- Willing to travel to existing and new stores in coverage area
- Valid US Driver’s License
Education and Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant visual merchandising experience
