Host & Reservations Assistant

Are you passionate about hospitality and making a real difference? We’re looking for a warm, organised, and enthusiastic Host & Reservations Assistant to join our award-winning team at The Clink Restaurant in HMP Brixton.

At The Clink, we’re not just serving exceptional food – we’re transforming lives. Our unique fine dining restaurant is staffed by prisoners working towards qualifications in hospitality, building skills and confidence that pave the way to a brighter future. As part of our dedicated front-of-house team, you’ll play a key role in delivering unforgettable dining experiences while supporting a groundbreaking social enterprise.

What You'll Be Doing:
As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll make every visitor feel valued and welcome. Your day-to-day will include:

• Running reception and warmly greeting all guests
• Managing and coordinating restaurant and group reservations
• Giving a friendly and clear security briefing before guests enter the restaurant
• Organising guest details for security and updating our reservation system
• Escorting guests to and from the restaurant via Prison Security
• Supporting service in the restaurant, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience
• Working alongside our prison students, mentoring and leading by example

What We're Looking For:

• A naturally welcoming personality – you love meeting new people and going the extra mile
• Previous admin, hospitality or customer service experience (ideal but not essential – we’ll provide full training)
• Confidence using IT systems (for bookings, emails, and guest registration)
• A calm and professional manner in a unique working environment
• Flexibility and a team spirit – you’re happy to lend a hand wherever needed

This role is based within HMP Brixton, so successful candidates must:

• Pass Ministry of Justice Enhanced Vetting
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Undergo an Enhanced DBS check
