Host & Reservations Assistant – The Clink Restaurant, HMP Brixton
Full-time | 39 hours per week (including Sundays and late Thursdays)
We are seeking a professional and personable Host & Reservations Assistant to join our award-winning restaurant located within HMP Brixton.
The Clink Restaurant offers a unique dining experience while supporting prisoner rehabilitation through accredited training in hospitality. Our team includes prison students working both front and back of house, gaining City & Guilds NVQs in food preparation, service, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the restaurant reception and reservation system
• Handle individual and group bookings
• Deliver security briefings to guests prior to entry
• Prepare and submit guest lists to HMP Brixton Security
• Register guests on the biometric system and verify ID
• Escort guests between reception and the restaurant
• Provide administrative support for reception and restaurant operations
• Host during service, ensuring an exceptional guest experience
About You
• Warm, professional, and guest-focused
• Proactive and supportive team player
• Strong IT skills (reservation and prison systems)
• Experience in reservations or hospitality admin preferred (training provided)
• Comfortable working in a secure prison environment
