Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour plus tips
As a Restaurant Host, you will be the first impression of our dining experience and play a key role in setting the tone for every guest visit.
You’ll create a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive, supporting reservations, managing bookings and ensuring a smooth flow of service while working closely with the wider Food & Beverage team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming guests and creating a warm, professional first impression
- Managing bookings and reservations to ensure a seamless dining experience
- Escorting guests to their tables and maintaining an organised seating plan
- Supporting the coordination of restaurant flow and guest experience
- Providing menus and initial information, including allergen guidance
- Handling guest enquiries in person, over the phone and via email
- Supporting room service coordination where required
- Maintaining the ambience and presentation of the restaurant environment
- Working closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations
- Supporting upselling opportunities and promoting the wider Champneys offering
- Assisting with events, functions and special occasions
- Handling guest feedback and escalating where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- A naturally warm, confident and professional manner
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (hospitality preferred)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a busy environment
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of presentation
