Restaurant Host

As a Restaurant Host, you will be the first impression of our dining experience and play a key role in setting the tone for every guest visit.

You’ll create a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive, supporting reservations, managing bookings and ensuring a smooth flow of service while working closely with the wider Food & Beverage team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Welcoming guests and creating a warm, professional first impression
• Managing bookings and reservations to ensure a seamless dining experience
• Escorting guests to their tables and maintaining an organised seating plan
• Supporting the coordination of restaurant flow and guest experience
• Providing menus and initial information, including allergen guidance
• Handling guest enquiries in person, over the phone and via email
• Supporting room service coordination where required
• Maintaining the ambience and presentation of the restaurant environment
• Working closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations
• Supporting upselling opportunities and promoting the wider Champneys offering
• Assisting with events, functions and special occasions
• Handling guest feedback and escalating where appropriate

What We’re Looking For

• A naturally warm, confident and professional manner
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role (hospitality preferred)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in a busy environment
• A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of presentation
