JRL Group – Quality Engineer
JRL Group’s East Midlands facility is located beside the A1 in Carlton on Trent, between Retford and Newark.
We are part of a large, established group with over 14 divisions and a turnover of more than £900m, delivering construction projects across the UK.
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 3:45pm (Early finish)
About the role
Join our Modular Quality Team as a Quality Advocate. You will help improve our Right‑First‑Time results, set up strong quality processes, and make sure our products meet all standards and customer requirements.
What you'll do
- Create and run quality checks and test procedures during new product introduction
- Carry out audits, review data, and suggest improvements
- Investigate defects and put solutions in place
- Work with production and other teams to fix issues quickly
- Train and support team members
- Keep all quality records and documentation up to date
What you’ll need
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering role
- Degree in Engineering or similar subject
- Background in manufacturing
- Knowledge of quality standards / Lean Six Sigma (desirable)
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Familiar with NPI, FMEA, SPC and APQP
- Good communication and ability to lead
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Field View software is a bonus
