The Role
As a Stores Assistant, you will be the heart of our warehouse operations. Your job is to ensure the factory stays efficient by managing stock levels, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining accurate records. This is a vital role that supports both the production team and the management to ensure we never run out of the components we need to build our facades.
The Hours
Mon – Thu: 07:30 – 17:30, Friday: 07:30 – 14:30
What you’ll be doing:
- Inventory Control: Track daily shipments, coordinate audits, and forecast demand to prevent running out of stock.
- Data Management: Enter purchase details, vendor info, and pricing into our internal databases.
- Delivery Coordination: Manage all incoming deliveries, track shipments, and address any delays immediately.
- Quality Checks: Liaise with warehouse teams to test the quality of products upon arrival and ensure proper storage conditions.
- PPE & Supplies: Manage and issue PPE to staff, ensuring the team has what they need to work safely.
- Budgeting & Purchasing: Work with the purchasing department to replenish stock while ensuring costs stay within budget.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: At least 1 year in a similar stores or warehouse role (Manufacturing or facade experience is a bonus).
- Computer Literate: Strong skills in Microsoft Office—specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Detail Oriented: High level of accuracy when checking invoices and conducting stock counts.
- Pro-active Mindset: You take initiative to improve storage processes and solve logistical problems before they escalate.
- Reliability: Excellent time management skills and a commitment to maintaining a professional, safe workspace.
