Hours: 7am – 5pm
Duration: Minimum 3–4 weeks at Newark site → potential ongoing work at Peterborough upon completion
CIS: To be discussed, weekly pay

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Machine Driver to join our team in Newark. The role involves operating plant machinery to grade and prepare ground materials — including Type 1 and 6F2 — ahead of concreting external yard slabs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery (360 excavator, mini digger, roller, dumper as required) for excavation, drainage, and grading work
- Accurately grade, level and compact Type 1, 6F2 and other aggregates to specification
- Ensure ground is fully prepared before concreting external yard slabs
- Carry out pre-use safety checks and maintain equipment in good working order
- Report any site or material issues to the supervisor promptly
- Work safely within the team, following all site rules and health & safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Valid relevant plant ticket (e.g. 360 excavator, mini digger)
- Proven experience operating machinery for excavation, drainage, and grading work
- Experience working with Type 1, 6F2 and similar ground materials
- CSCS card and good safety awareness
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
- NPORS / CPCS certification preferred
