ABOUT THE ROLE
JRL Modular is looking for a Semi-Skilled Plumber / Pipe Fitter to join our production team at the Newark factory. You will install and fit plumbing systems inside our modular bathrooms and utility units before they leave the factory.
This is a factory-based role assembling pipework and fittings to our specifications. Full training on our specific methods will be provided — we are looking for someone with basic practical plumbing knowledge who wants to develop their skills in a structured manufacturing environment.
Working hours: 7:30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 7.30am to 3pm.
DUTIES
- Install and assemble water pipework and waste pipework inside modular units
- Measure, cut, join and secure pipe to drawings and specifications
- Fit and connect basins, toilets, showers and utility units
- Check completed work for leaks and security
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and follows procedures
- Work alongside assembly teams to meet production schedules
- Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times
- Follow all Health & Safety guidelines and support other team members where required
REQUIREMENTS
- Practical experience with basic plumbing or pipework
- Understanding of how to measure, cut and join pipe
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings and check measurements
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to learn new methods and work as part of a team
- Plumbing qualification or partial apprenticeship is desirable but not essential — practical experience matters most
