JRL Group are currently recruiting for a Line Leader to join their growing team.
The JRL Group encompasses 14+ divisions delivering bespoke solutions for complex construction projects across the UK. With a turnover exceeding £900m, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and fast-paced business.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm
Role Overview:
The Line Leader plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the production team. This is a hands-on position, responsible for leading, motivating, and supporting a small team to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead and manage a team of up to 15 operatives
- Drive team performance to meet production targets and deadlines
- Support and develop team members to maintain high standards
- Planning & Organisation
- Organise daily workloads to ensure efficient production
- Conduct daily team briefings and monitor attendance
- Ensure the team has the tools and materials required for each shift
Communication & Reporting
- Communicate clearly with team members and management
- Provide updates on progress and escalate any issues promptly
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all work meets required quality standards
- Follow ISO procedures and support continuous improvement
- Assist in resolving technical or production issues
Health & Safety
- Promote a strong health & safety culture
- Ensure correct use of PPE at all times
- Report incidents and near misses
- General Duties
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Support training and development within the team
- Complete administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a team leader / supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
Desirable:
- Experience within construction, manufacturing, or a related industry
- Plumbing or mechanical background (advantageous but not essential)
