Management Accountant
Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire
The JRL Group encompasses 14+ divisions delivering bespoke solutions for the most complex construction projects nationally. Over two decades the JRL Group has grown from a company specialising in sub and superstructure packages to a business that offers managed integrated construction solutions, with an annual turnover in excess of over £600m.
The need has arisen to enhance the accounting support of its’s day to day operations at the Newark location.

The role will report to the Financial Controller, and will involve responsibility for the financial reporting for a number of trading companies and divisions within the group.
Requirements:
- Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Strong understanding of finance business processes (A/R, A/P, General Ledger, Procurement/Payroll)
- Previous experience in a management accounting role essential
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
- Proficient with basic Microsoft office products, specifically Excel to intermediate level required
- Familiarity with Coins ERP and/or IFS systems would be a great advantage
- The position is new so would suit an individual who is willing to take initiative
- Ability to work to agreed deadlines essential
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and management account packs
- Weekly and Monthly KPI reporting
- Daily bank/cash book reconciliations.
- Annual Budgeting / Annual audit responsibilities
- Stock control (including managing periodic stock takes)
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- First point of contact for operations/query handling
- Develop an understanding of the underlying business leading to identification of risks and opportunities within the business
