We are currently on the lookout for a Cable Installation Manager for our ARK M&E division who typically run High End Residential Projects with Shell & Core packages.

The role will involve project management for a £70 million pound M&E residential development in London. The development consists of a mix of social and private housing with local leisure and amenity buildings. The ideal candidate will be managing mechanical labour and subcontractors, ordering and tracking of materials, producing technical submittals and general management duties.

As a thriving, leading contractor we are continuing to expand across London, Manchester and the Midlands with numerous exciting projects pursuing into 2026.

 

• Ideally Be HV/ AP qualified LV/AP as a minimum. (Training can be given).
• Have a good understanding of Earthing Systems.
• Time served as a manager within a cable pulling business working on large projects
• Proficient in the planning & control of cable gangs and jointers across all JRL sites including assisting temps with larger pulls.
• Able to review drawings to plan the sequence of complex large scale cable pulls.
• SMSTS Qualified and able to produce relevant RAMs for each install.
• Good communication skills.
• Personable.
• Have commercial awareness.
• able to programme works with planners, engineers and project managers
• Ideally have contacts / a network of cable pullers and jointers to call on.
• In time maybe take control of the lightning protection packages where ARK are not employed on the project and maybe self-deliver.
• Willing to travel between Midlands, London and the South coast.
• Advise when sites procuring LV panels ensuring sufficient sized cable chambers/headers.
• Work with Stage 3 designers where possible to introduce ducting / trenches between major routes to mitigate the containment on the slab asnd assist with diverse routing and early power on for commissioning.
• Manage the dead tests of the cabling once installed.
• Be able to use feildview and 4P. (Training can be given)
