The Opportunity

To be responsible for the building which hosts all key stakeholders including internal and external multi-agencies on a daily basis. Main duties include Cleaning, Maintenance, Security, and Catering (where applicable) ensuring all SLAs and KPIs are maintained.

Carrying out fire and security walk rounds, ensuring any issues are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner and logged as appropriate.

Act as point of contact for the key stakeholders and the multi agencies ensuring lines of communication are maintained and regularly monitored – such as email, mail, and telephone.

General health and safety duties including risk assessments and other statutory and not statutory site requirements. Demonstrate a permanently high level of security awareness and knowledge of emergency evacuation procedures.

Ideal Candidate

  • Facilities management experience would be desirable.
  • Accurate, diligent, self-motivated, focused, and reliable.
  • The ability to multi-task effectively and prioritise workload.
  • A collaborative working spirit that enhances and builds effective working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Possess a communication style that allows positive and open dialogue with users and multi-agencies.
  • Motivate and lead a small team during the shift.

Our Preston Leyland Hotel, part of the Signature Collection By Best Western is positioned a minute from the M6 motorway J28 and just 30 minutes from Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool, and the southern edge of the Lake District. Three airports are within close distance to the property, which makes the Preston Hotel an attractive location for delegates traveling across the UK.

Total of 93 bedrooms, 13 conference and meeting rooms. The site also has strong links to Leyland Trucks and have one of the first engines built-in 1938 named “Nora” parked in the front garden
