Coordinate a UK wide structured policy on all environmental and conservation matters.
Tree surveys and ancient woodland management including TPO and keep a database which can be utilised by architects for planning purposes to include tree planting and native species.
Owned beaches, managed in conjunction with such bodies as Natural England, National Trust and Scottish/Welsh equivalent.
Liaise with Marine Conservation and Surfers Against Sewerage for beach cleaning, educational trips and awards.
Interpretation material within protected environments i.e.: SSSI, RAMSAR etc. to inform both public and guests of the importance of such sites, specifically bird roosting, wetland wildfowl feeding, and Dune conservation.
Recycling and ‘Save It’ schemes
Liaise with coastal path organisations, specifically in relation to the new proposals.
Burning management and certification
Increase in stewardship schemes to ensure the land we manage is done in accordance with policy and claim back any grants that are available
Bellamy program liaison and advancement and act in an advisory capacity to each Park, Bee management, hedgerow, water and wetland.
Manage the parks nature trails and associated activities.
To be involved in the farmers lease agreements
Flood policy and coastal erosion
Liaise with entertainment to create a ranger/conservation and nature conservation program
To manage PDR endangered species program i.e.: newts and toads
Footpath management and to have a data bank of responsibilities/works.
Specific project management in conjunction with the Wildlife Trust, RSPB, Bat Conservation trust etc.
