Our Support Office a modern office located close to Old Street and Barbican in central London. This friendly open plan office houses several of the key support functions including Sales, Human Resources, Marketing and Central Revenue. Conveniently located with great transport links the office is the London base for the back office functions of Guoman and Thistle.
The Role
Engaging with the business to assist and advise them in identifying and understanding the changes required to meet their objectives. The subsequent documentation and communication of these requirements will enable the relevant solutions to be designed and implemented.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / MAIN DUTIES
Responsible for discovering and documenting the as-is process, designing and modelling the to-be process with the business, performing gap analysis and recommending actions
The elicitation and capture of business requirements using a range of techniques, including the facilitation of workshops, document analysis, sites visits, use cases, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
Ensure that the requirements and processes are concise with any ambiguity resolved and that they are aligned to the strategic and tactical goals of the project and the business
Ensure both functional and non-functional requirements are captured and documented appropriately
Manage the scope and traceability of business requirements
Working closely with the business to review and challenge business processes to ensure they are fit for purpose
Proactively communicate and collaborate across the IT function to ensure business processes are aligned with the business and IT architecture
Deliver the required artefacts for the necessary stage of the project
Serve as an interface between the business customers and the internal and external IT teams
Take responsibility for creating the test strategy, system test plans, system test conditions and UAT plans and ensuring that the requirements are tested and delivered
Plan and monitor tasks and liaise with the project manager, taking responsibility for ensuring these are achieved to plan and any associated risks and/or issues are managed and communicated accordingly

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
An ability to recognise process challenges within a business area and functional interdependencies.
The ability to apply process analysis principles to business solutions
An appreciation of the wider business process impacts of a proposed initiative
Commercial retail knowledge
Business process modelling and process mapping tools
Understanding of IT systems and the ability to understand and review technical documentation, with support from the solution analysts as required
Business Change project methodology (or similar)
Prior experience of holding a Business Analysis role (or equivalent)
Business process modelling using an industry standard technique
EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Capable of degree level education
ISEB Business Analysis Foundation - desirable
