The Restaurant

BAO Noodle Shop in the iconic Battersea Power Station. Perch around the expansive wrap around counter, where chefs serve bowlfuls of beef noodle soup, xiao chi and BAO.Bao's goal is to create restaurants that offer a different experience to each other, inspired by our founder's upbringing and travels around Asia. Each restaurant within the group has a unique menu and a different story.

The Position

At BAO, we do things properly - from how we welcome guests to how we support each other on shift. As a FOH Team Member, you could be working a section, running dishes, or making drinks behind the bar. Whatever the role, you’ll be part of creating a calm, confident atmosphere and consistently great guest experiences.

You don’t need loads of experience, just a great attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. We’ll teach you everything else.

What you’ll be doing:

• Running food and drinks with speed and care
• Working a section and guiding guests through the BAO experience
• Preparing drinks or supporting bar service, depending on the shift
• Helping keep the restaurant clean, organised, and ready for service
• Communicating clearly with your team to keep things flowing smoothly
• Learning about the menu, service style, and guest care standards

• Comfortable multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
• Supportive and kind - a real team player who helps others and leads with care
• A good communicator who takes direction well and isn’t afraid to ask questions

BAO quite literally means steamed bun. But BAO means so much more than that, a cult brand with a cult following that aims to inspire with design through food. Founded in 2013 by family trio, Erchen Chang, Shing Tat Chung and Wai Ting Chung in a carpark in East London to now spanning 7 restaurants across London, where each has its own story of Taiwanese Culture with unique experience, narrative and menu.
