What inspired you to join Active Silicon?

Active Silicon are pioneers in digital imaging and embedded vision systems. It would give me a chance to work with leading-edge technologies and smart Engineers and would help me shape and progress in my career. Also, the company’s core values like philosophy of openness, honesty and maintaining long-term relationships with staff and customers are very inspiring and reassuring.

Can you describe your career journey since joining?

It has only been 3 months since I joined but it has been an amazing journey so far. I have been working in a highly collaborative environment where the challenges are faced as a team and individual input is genuinely heard and encouraged. I have also been offered the chance to work on diverse and complex projects. The company really cares about employees’ career progression. I already had discussion with my manager about how I want to progress in my career and thinking about the ways to shape my future. Although I’m on a maternity cover, I would be very happy to work here for longer as I see a lot of amazing opportunities and a good future here.

What do you enjoy most about working here?

Colleagues are very warm and welcoming from Day 1. I can take ownership of what I do, and I get the right appreciation and recognition. I have never felt alone or stuck in a problem. There’s always someone to lend a hand even before I ask for help. Also, the way company values the health and safety of the employees and making sure there’s enough work-life balance is admirable.

What has been a memorable project or proudest moment so far?

As a Software Engineer, I was able to solve some of the complex and long-standing bugs and make improvements to the product.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about joining Active Silicon?
