When did you leave the military?
April 2024
What attracted you to join our company and this role?
Which military skills do you use most in your current role?
What strengths do ex-forces personnel bring to our business?
Describe the culture here in three words:
How have you developed or progressed since joining?
I’ve developed significantly in how I communicate with people. I’ve learned how to adapt to different working styles, ask better questions, and keep stakeholders updated more consistently. This has helped projects run smoother and reduced misunderstandings.
The company has also supported me with up-skilling and gaining qualifications that has helped me in a professional capacity. My role evolved quickly and I was promoted within 1 year of joining.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The variation - I was nervous about returning to an office-based role having done a very physical job in the Navy. However, there is so much variation within a Project Manager role, it is not restrictive and you can explore many different avenues, skill sets and collaborate with many different departments.
What advice would you give to someone leaving the Forces and considering applying here?
Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Like the Military, no two days are the same in a manufacturing environment, and you’re exposed to so many different elements within the business.
The company Is willing to help you grow, if you want it.
Would you recommend us to other veterans? Why?
Yes, it’s a great company to work for. I am very happy and settled here. The company is very understanding of work life balance and are very supportive in professional and personal capacities.
