Sign UpMessage to Agencies
Our recruitment activity is managed centrally through our internal Recruitment Team and supported by an established Preferred Supplier List (PSL) of approved recruitment agencies.
Vacancies are allocated only to agencies that have been formally engaged and instructed by our Recruitment Team. Agencies that have not been instructed on a specific vacancy should not submit candidate details in relation to that role, as these submissions will not be considered.
We do not accept unsolicited CVs, candidate profiles or speculative introductions from agencies not engaged through our PSL agreement.
Any CVs submitted directly to hiring managers, employees or any other part of the business without prior written authorisation from the Recruitment Team will be treated as unsolicited and no fee will be payable.
Please do not contact hiring managers directly regarding vacancies or candidate submissions.
All agency enquiries, including PSL requests, should be directed to: recruitment@solidstateplc.com
Security Clearance Guidance for Applicants
Some of our roles involve working on highly secure government, defence and national security projects and therefore require successful candidates to complete pre-employment security screening.
The level of clearance required will be clearly stated within each vacancy advert.
Understanding the Different Levels of Security Clearance
BPSS - Baseline Personnel Security Standard
BPSS is the standard pre-employment screening required for many roles within secure environments. It is not formal security clearance but forms the foundation for higher levels of vetting.
BPSS checks typically include:
- Identity verification
- Right to work confirmation
- Employment history checks
- Criminal record declaration
- Nationality and immigration status checks
SC - Security Check
SC clearance is required for roles involving access to sensitive government or defence information.
The process may include:
- Completion of a detailed security questionnaire
- BPSS screening
- Criminal record checks
- Credit and financial history checks
- Review of overseas residency, travel and personal circumstances
DV - Developed Vetting
DV is the highest routine level of security clearance and is required for a small number of highly sensitive roles.
The process can include:
- All SC level checks
- Detailed financial review
- Additional vetting questionnaires
- Vetting interview
- Referee and background enquiries
Before You Apply
Please be aware that:
- security clearance is subject to government approval.
- some roles may require a period of UK residency
- overseas travel or residence may extend processing times.
- employment start dates may depend on clearance being granted.
If you already hold BPSS, SC or DV clearance, please include this within your application.
