Procurement Manager- Maternity cover

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and experienced procurement expert to temporarily join our fantastic Procurement Team based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Working as part of a successful and ambitious team, you will lead the development of a best-
practice approach to procurement processes at Parkdean Resorts. This will include a focus on the
implementation of exciting, new and best in class technology.

Within the role, you will be given a fantastic opportunity to work with key stakeholders, both
internally and externally, to develop the best procurement systems, processes and procedures.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Manage the project programme to build and deliver the new technology solution
• Represent procurement in the design and implementation team
• Create and deliver procurement training to internal and external users
• Create and execute helpdesk support and troubleshooting guides to support implementation
• Create process documentation and train out to users
• Post implementation the role will focus on driving the full value from the new technology by; delivering Supplier Relationship Management, identifying savings opportunities, creating and monitoring KPIs for compliance, process improvement and supplier performance; improved reporting to the wider business.
• Expanding and embedding catalogue based ordering at PDR. Through the adoption of new suppliers and expanding usage within the business.
Policy and Processes
• Owning Procurements policies and processes, updating and training out as required.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Have strong experience in the development of procurement process and systems strategy, along with a strong knowledge of operational procurement and associated processes.
• Have a track record of implementing systems including P2P, e-sourcing and contract management
• Have excellent analytical and organisation skills.
• Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Have a sound knowledge of the effective management of supplier master data files
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
