To handle telephone and written enquiries passed by, or in the absence of, The Events Managers as to availability for potential meeting or function space within The Meetings and Events Department.
To display excellent professional telephone and written technique at all times
To maintain excellent relationships with all bookers including event organisers, party planner’s conference agents and private hosts.
To ensure that all up to date client details are entered into Opera.
To produce all Meetings and Events correspondence to clients under the direction of The Meetings and Events Manager including contracts.
To ensure that all correspondence is prioritised and responded to immediately where possible or within a maximum of two working days.
To carry out trace calls on all provisional bookings as to the standards of The Department and take required action.
To have a sound knowledge of product and additional sales opportunities.
To produce weekly function distribution notice for all Meetings and Events Managers.
To produce weekly distribution pack of all function instruction sheets. To fully hand-over this responsibility in times of absence.
