Beach Ranger

Ruda Holiday Park are looking for a talented Beach Ranger to join the team in a very exciting role.

Our Rangers are essential in looking after this fantastic landscape and making sure our visitors have an exceptional experience when they visit us.

You’ll be part of a great team looking after a fantastic Park, working with other staff to deliver our business goals. You will be expected to manage the maintenance, conservation and presentation of Croyde Beach, dunes and associated land and nature reserve to agreed Parkdean Resorts standards and adhere to third party consultant organisations in including Defra, Natural England and Environment Agency.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Help with the running of daily games and activities on the beach including rock pool rambles, guided tours as a part of our Outdoor & Explore programme
  • Provide a safe and attractive outdoor environment for our owners, holiday makers and team
  • Assist in maintaining a good working relationship with the community and other agencies
  • Offer advice and guidance to visiting public
  • Foot path and coastal path maintenance
  • Control of litter , recycling and beach cleanliness and associated back of house areas
  • Liaise with outer departments to work towards David Bellamy Conservation Award and reduction of single use plastics

The successful person will have:

  • Practical understanding of tides and timetables, general conservation knowledge and an understanding of land management.
  • Some experience of leading a team
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the local community and other stakeholders.
  • Full driving license
  • Previous experience using machinery and equipment and have some experience planning and delivering inspirational engagement activities.
  • Practical knowledge and enthusiasm for working outdoors
