Rooms Division Manager

A new position has become available at Innside Manchester. We are now looking for a Rooms Division Manager to join the leadership team.

Innside Manchester is a 4*, contemporary hotel which has 208 spacious rooms and excellent facilities.

Our new Rooms Division Manager will need to have a hands on approach, be able to use their initiative when implementing new ideas and to take ownership of their department. The main responsibility of the Rooms Division Manager will be to oversee and manage the day to day and strategic operation of all Rooms & Guest Experience operations. You will be responsible to meet all financial and guest satisfaction targets within the departments, and to ensure all team members within the department are managed and developed to the agreed standards.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, main duties and responsibilities will include;

Insuring that all Rooms & GEX departments are offering the standards of service as set by the company

To promote positive working relationships with all staff and management in the Rooms department, to promote teamwork and a fully integrated one team approach throughout the hotel and business

To ensure that the Rooms departments are fully integrated with the rest of the Hotel and working as a team

To provide quality line management to all Supervisors within Rooms Division

In conjunction with the Human Resources department, to select, recruit and induct all new staff within the Rooms departments

Ensure that all rota / payroll information is up to date and correct

To be involved with the identification of training needs within the department and planning of training priorities. To be fully committed to providing the highest levels of Customer Care to internal and external clients/guests at all times

To be fully conversant with all Hotel accounting procedures including the use of all computer systems, their capabilities being fully exhausted and ensure compliance of the above at all times

To deal with any guest complaints efficiently and professionally

To undertake regular bedroom checks to monitor standards and to plan on-going maintenance programmes

To meet and greet all VIP guests ensuring that this information is fully communicated to other departments in the hotel

To ensure that communication within the Rooms Department is to a high standard

To be involved with the planning of sales activities within the Hotel to promote and increase sales whilst maintaining profitability at all times

To ensure that all costs are contained to within the budget, in proportion to sales

To ensure that all the Heads of Departments are aware and constantly updated on their current and cumulative results, as compared with budget and previous years and where possible with Industry trends

To be responsible for the compilation on time of departmental forecasts/budgets, ensuring set targets/guidelines are achieved

To be involved in short and long term financial planning with regard to personnel budget, other expenses and capital expenditures
