The Role

To ensure that the needs of all M&E guests are met and exceeded. To be responsible for the supervision and
control of operations of meetings, events, conferences and banqueting rooms and other supporting areas in line
with Brand Standards while adhering to company and statutory regulations. To Supervise the M&E Team Members/Ambassadors on shift

  • Reads and interprets weekly and daily Function Sheets to ensure all the customer’s stated expectations are fully
  • understood and met
  • Ensures that meeting/ function rooms not in use are in an appropriate state for show rounds to potential customers
  • Works with the Meeting and Events Operations Manager to analyse the weekly staffing needs and prepares Rotas
  • accordingly; brings in casual function staff where required in line with business needs
  • Deals with day to day guest enquiries in an efficient, courteous and friendly manner or passes them to the relevant
  • manager where necessary
  • Meets and greets guests arriving for meetings and events; checks requirements and communicates relevant
  • information (e.g. Fire Evacuation Procedure, message system, etc.)
  • Ensures all relevant information concerning customer requirements is dealt with or passed to the relevant
  • department immediately
  • Manages events such as private dining and functions
  • Ensures that all function rooms are set to the same consistent standards set out by the Brand Standards
  • Assists colleagues with running of events and fosters team spirit
  • Ensures that banqueting back of house areas, including kitchens are regularly cleaned
