Our 5th Avenue store is the US Flagship and the largest store in the states. Housing 40,000 square feet of the latest fashion and spanning four floors of our iconic building on the world-famous fashion corridor of Fifth Avenue. The store sits adjacent to one of epicenters of New York City: Rockefeller Center. It has a team of over 200 team members to deliver an exceptional customer experience in this demanding area of the city.

The Job


• Create an exceptional customer experience through supporting the delivery of inspirational trends and placement of best-selling product
• Inspire customers on product and trend by dressing as a ‘Fashion Role Model’
• ‘Connect with customers’ by demonstrating a flexible service and selling style
• Tailor outfit builds and merchandise product to encourage the local customer to relate to the Brand
• Develop knowledge needed to answer any customer question, demonstrating ‘know your stuff’
• Understand the impact that having ‘All Sizes Out’ has on customer experience
• Manage time and tasks effectively, putting the needs of the customer first to ensure that VM tasks don’t impact on the customer experience


• Keep up to date with what’s happening in the brand and the latest trends and product information
• Support the team meet the daily and weekly targets through driving sales by challenging the placement and merchandising of both best/slow sellers and fragmentation
• Highlight any opportunities to do things better to the VM Team Lead/Visual Manager
• Support the delivery of Brand guidelines/’Model Store’ standards everyday through owning a trend or department
• Maintain a safe environment for your team and customers by following health and Safety guidelines
• Partner with team lead/management team to adjust guidelines to suit the store package and customer profile
• Understand the Brand’s key merchandising values that set TOPSHOP TOPMAN apart from the competition
• Utilize key layout and fixture placement principles to create impactful and easy to shop destinations through zoning, adjacencies and balance of height
• Support all instore teams by taking actions to reduce stockloss/shrink
• Deliver on any Duties of Responsibilities (DORs) or projects assigned by the management team
• Knowledge and adherence to all company policies and procedures


• Demonstrate the ability to work with a sense of urgency, effectively balancing multiple requests and tasks
• Work as a team player and identify when somebody in the team needs support
• Help to create a fun culture that people want to be a part of
• Effectively communicate with every team using all methods of internal communication
• Respond positively to constructive feedback always seeing it as an opportunity to grow
• Demonstrate self-awareness and be proactive with regards to personal development and seeking opportunities to progress
• When involved in a difficult team situation, actively seek advice from a Team Lead or Manager
• Positively promote the VM function with the rest of the store team and be seen as an expert in visual skills and knowledge

Must Haves

• Visual merchandising experience in a fashion retail environment
• Strong organizational
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever changing climate
• Excited by having the opportunity to identify solutions to operational, product and team challenges
• Role model exceptional internal and external customers service
• Open Availability to suit the business needs (including weekends and occasional nights)
