We’re so excited to be opening our first TOPSHOP TOPMAN Miami store. Our 11th store in the US is going to be opening within Aventura Mall’s amazing new extension in late 2017. This fab new concept store will span two levels, with 12,700 square feet dedicated to TOPSHOP on the second floor and a 5,600 square feet TOPMAN on the first floor. The Aventura Mall is Miami’s premier fashion destination and one of America’s most visited shopping centers according to Travel + Leisure magazine, Aventura Mall features a collection of upscale boutiques and more than 300 of the world’s most iconic retailers.

Operations Managers support the General Manager/Deputy General Manager to drive profit through the effective management of controllable costs, whilst ensuring the store is operationally set up for success - promoting The Perfect Operation

The Job


• Ensure a positive, customer first approach where the Brand’s selling and service vision is demonstrated across all members of the team
• Be recognized as a Brand Ambassador, promoting the Brand internally and externally to all
• Monitor the service levels being delivered, utilizing on the spot feedback and coaching when needed to ensure the internal and external customer receives the best experience possible
• Manage your team’s time and tasks effectively, putting the needs of the customer first to ensure that Operations tasks don’t impact on the customer experience


• Effectively create plans for all business activity and Brand Initiatives that include contingencies to support the team to deliver successfully
• Facilitate multichannel advancement and positively promote all business initiatives that enhance the customer experience
• Review schedules and productivity to ensure payroll is managed and utilized effectively
• Partner with GM/DGM to initiate processes to protect profit across the store including payroll, achieving cash loss and shrink goals, inventory processes, office controls and general store expenses
• Promote the perfect operation sharing best practice and key learns with other operations managers and head office functions
• Own the inventory process from planning to completion including implementation and communication of stock loss action plan
• Partner with the senior management team to drive initiatives across the store that support the reduction of markdown and shrink
• Promote compliance with all health and safety requirements across all floors and functions to create a safe environment for both customers and the team
• Lead the team to deliver daily and weekly goals through setting clear expectations and productivity targets
• Optimize stockroom organization and layout in line with the perfect operation to maximize product flow and drive sales
• Liaise with the Retail Operations Coordinator to feedback and review all store vendor needs
• Liaise with Visual/Creative teams to optimize storage and maintenance of out of use visual tools, fixtures and props
• Take part in weekly floor walks concentrating on stock levels directly relating to commercial decisions surrounding stock intake, mark down and product flow
• Work closely with head office operations to influence positive change in processes and procedures
• Ensure all maintenance organization and housekeeping is maintained correctly throughout the store
• Continuously seek areas to improve the store environment, profitability and brand awareness
• Deliver on any Duties of Responsibilities (DORs) or projects assigned by the management team
• Ensure the teams are compliant in reporting deadlines
• Knowledge and adherence to all company policies and procedures


• Demonstrate the ability to work with a sense of urgency, efficiently balancing multiple requests and tasks
• Instigate development conversations with the team and role model a focus on personal development through seeking and giving feedback
• Effectively manage the cascade of information to the team and create appropriate checks for understanding
• Role model adapting your leadership style to support the team to meet the need of the individual and situation
• Drive an open, supportive culture regularly connecting with team to identify any opportunities and action for improvement
• Develop cross functional relationships with management and head office functions to drive the Brand’s vision
• Enable teams to embrace change and suggest new ideas to move the business forward
• Support education of management team in regards to operational processes
• Identify, develop and retain key talent
• Sponsor, support and challenge the teams to drive their own development
• Utilize TAPP and all instore approaches to drive communication, ensuring it’s engaging and exciting for the store team and relevant for the teams
• Respond positively to challenging situations or constructive feedback
• Establish clear expectations and accountabilities by utilizing Duties of Responsibilities (DOR) and setting individual objectives that support the business and individual development plans
• Create clear succession plan for your team that supports the needs of the store and the wider business

Must Haves

• Experience of managing $8million+ turnover within a large space store
• 3-4 years of Management experience
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience of managing store processes including; payroll controls, stock loss, office controls and general expenditure
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to predict and plan for future challenges and business growth opportunities
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever changing climate
• Strong focus on leading the team to drive success across a range of key performance indicators
