What services do PeopleBank provide for Jobseekers?

We provide two main services:

• A database of jobseekers CVs which can be searched by recruiters.
• A listing of job vacancies which can be searched by jobseekers.

How much does registering on PeopleBank cost?

PeopleBank offers a free service to jobseekers.

How do potential employers search for staff?

Recruiters identify suitable candidates by using our sophisticated search engine. This allows them to find candidates who match their vacancy on key criteria such as salary, occupational and industry experience, location, qualifications, key skills etc. The PeopleBank standard format CV enables this detailed search method.

Do Recruitment Consultants use PeopleBank?

Yes - Recruitment Consultants can register their Agency with PeopleBank and use the services we provide to fulfill the needs of their clients’.

How do I stop my present employer finding me?

Any company can view any CV, but all CVs are anonymous because personal details are not visible.  Jobseekers can mask the name of existing and previous employers by referring to the size of the company rather than the name. Personal details are only released with the jobseekers’ permission and do not appear on the Internet.
 

How would an employer get in touch with me?

PeopleBank will act as the point of contact when a recruiter shortlists you for a position.  We will contact you with the job details and if you are interested, we will release your Personal Details which are held in confidence and not displayed on the Internet.

Do I have to pay a fee when I'm hired?

No.

What areas of recruitment does PeopleBank cover?

PeopleBank covers all areas, particularly sales & marketing, accountancy, secretarial, media, IT, engineering and leisure.

Should I remove my details from other agencies' books?

No. PeopleBank is a good means of finding new or different employment but it is certainly not the only method.

Do you require a copy of my CV?

No – The PeopleBank registration form replaces the need for us to hold your traditional CV.

What if I cannot find my occupation on your list of codes?

The listings we use are based on the Standard Occupation Classifications set out by the Government.  They are not intended to be read as specific job titles but used as a general guide to occupational areas.  You need to select the occupation closest to your job. PeopleBank can advise you should you have any difficulties.
