Karrimor was founded in 1946 as a small company producing cycle bags. Over the ensuing years the company evolved and in 1957 Karrimor began developing technologically-advanced outdoor equipment for consumers who enjoyed the most physically demanding of open-air activities.

Before long Karrimor was collaborating with some of the world's leading figures in mountaineering and exploration, including Jimmy Rostron, Dave Thomas, Joe Brown and Don Whillans. With their help, Karrimor successfully developed a new generation of extreme performance outdoor equipment capable of withstanding Earth's harshest environmental conditions and helping explorers worldwide push the frontiers of human achievement to an entirely new level.

Today Karrimor's expertise in designing and manufacturing outdoor Rucksacks and equipment has been applied to a variety of leisurely and extreme outdoor pastimes.
