I joined the company back in January 1990 as a part timer. The company was very small then and only had 3 branches. I left school and joined the company full time. I rapidly progressed and was made a Branch Manager by the time I was 18. The company was now expanding at an exciting rate, and we were opening new branches all over the country. I helped in lots of these new stores, assisting with the running of the store and training of the staff. As the company continued to grow a new level of Area Management was put in. I was offered this position when I was 22, which was my biggest challenge yet. The new position was very demanding, but at the same time it gave me massive job satisfaction. I was in full control of up to 8 branches, which required me to control turnover, auditing, wage costings, branch standards, H&S, recruitment and development of management and staff. The company now has well over 300 retail outlets, and I have now been promoted to Regional Manager. I have 6 Area Managers that report directly to me, and I'm now in control of in excess of 30 stores. I have grown up with the company and I absolutely love my job and the people I work with. This has been my one and only job, and I wouldn't work for anyone else. |
