I joined Sports Soccer in 1999 from a similar sports retailer. I started at one of our smaller stores in Chester as an Assistant Manager where the pace of the business was a lot faster than anything I had experienced before.

The reason for me choosing this company was for the exciting new challenges, promotion prospects and being part of an up and coming company. After a successful period in Chester I was then promoted to a Store Managers position in our new Broughton Park store which I had the privilege to open, within my 6 years at Broughton Park I learnt to manage a busy retail shop and build a successful team.

I feel the best way I have built up my skills and experience has been to go out on the installations where we take a store from an empty shell, process and merchandise all the stock ready to open and by always taking the opportunity to work in other stores alongside other Managers allowing me to pick up new skills such as organising my staff.

After my time in Broughton Park I took the opportunity of again opening an even bigger store in Wrexham and used all of my previous knowledge of new store openings to make it a success, I have now been in Wrexham for the past year and a half.
